I have the same problem as Nickman.
I downloaded the version from page 3 and it worked. The one in the autobuild acts like it works except when you try to take a picture, the camera just turns off with the zoom lens still extended.

Another question: now that I can use my SD890 and take photos in a CRW format, what is the best program to process them with? I tried the DNGtoPS but I dunno if I did it right or if I need to calibrate it first.

You guys have no idea how long I've wanted to try out CHDK on my camera and now that its a reality i've went through 2 battery charges just toying with the menus.

i've checked the code, which is practically identical to the last version i posted here in the thread. i was kinda puzzled it stopped working somewhere but actually, i found an extremely stupid copy&paste error i made. please test the attached version asap and report back if they work as desired.

Update on the optical zoom while in movie mode: Just got the camera today, loaded 1.00c on and it booted fine. I tried the optical zoom while in movie mode and it didn't work... I WAS able to get it to work when i zoomed to 5x optical before starting to record. Any idea why it may be acting like this? Is there anyway for the optical zoom to work when zoomed out?
I'm using the version from page three.

@snc: unlock_optical_zoom()   even not called in movie_record_task()  :(
 (after "loc_FF85A0A0:\n" for 1.00C)

 dammit, what a fuckup. i diffed against a test branch i had created, and forgotten to update.

@ everyone : download the attached binaries, a friend of mine tested them with a 1.00c, works fine now. mine is still fried unfortunately...

@ ewavr : sorry for the inconvenience. please apply the fixup patch against r730. i managed to bring in some copy&paste style of error... my bad, really.

So, real critical error was ""BLNE  DebugAssert" instead of  "BLEQ    DebugAssert"  :D
