The 100b,c and d dumps seem to be from cams for the european market ("Canon DIGITAL IXUS 970 IS"), the 100f is a US / non-europe "Canon PowerShot SD890 IS" one...

haha! of course, i was looking for that one also. problem was, i mistyped the search string: "sd980" ... figures

here is something for owners of a 1.00f cam... http://www.vware.at/misc/stuff/CHDK-ixus970_sd890-100f-020609.zip
no idea if it works, tho, cant test it obviously.

I will try it out.  I have limited time and familiarity with CHDK but I will test it out.  I also sent a message to the other person with this firmware. 

btw - yes US market camera.

Hi all,

I've tried this port out on my sd890is (firmware gm1.00f).

The splash screen appears, but then the camera freezes and needs to be restarted by removing the battery.  I'm very interested in a working build of CHDK for this camera.

Thanks for the quick reply! 

Unfortunately, this build simply fails.  After applying the firmware upgrade, the screen goes black and no CHDK splash appears.

The full info for my camera:

SD890IS
Firmware Ver. GM1.00F
E18
Oct 28 2008

I'd like to help if there's anything more I can check for you.

i fear you're out of luck then, its kind of a hassle to try that stuff without having a camera at hand, let alone not even being able to use it once it is done ;)
to get on with this, we'd need to test some stuff "realtime", i cant post all the test binaries on a forum... so duh

@snc thanks for effort!

I am at the same spot as crasspm.  For the first build I get a splash screen (red box with info in it) but everything locks up until I remove battery.   For the second build camera goes black but no splash screen and camera works as normal from factory.

I would like to do anything I can to get this running.
