Hi AllBest,

got USB remote working on IXUS800/SD700, build 16.

Change 1 in platform/generic/kbd.c:
//#if defined(CAMERA_a630) || defined(CAMERA_a640) || defined(CAMERA_a610) || defined(CAMERA_a620)
#if defined(CAMERA_a630) || defined(CAMERA_a640) || defined(CAMERA_a610) || defined(CAMERA_a620) || defined(CAMERA_ixus800_sd700)
#define USB_MASK 0x8000000
#define USB_REG 1
#endif

Change 2 in core/gui.c:
//#if !defined(CAMERA_g7) && !defined (CAMERA_ixus800_sd700) && !defined (CAMERA_ixus700_sd500) && !defined (CAMERA_a570) && !defined (CAMERA_a700)
#if !defined(CAMERA_g7) && !defined (CAMERA_ixus700_sd500) && !defined (CAMERA_a570) && !defined (CAMERA_a700)
   {LANG_MENU_SCRIPT_REMOTE_ENABLE, MENUITEM_BOOL,   &conf.remote_enable},

Thanks

Hi nirschi.

I have added your change to "StereoData Maker".

Could you contact me at mybayauctions at btinternet dot com so that I can send you a compiled version for IXUS800 for a quick test ?

Thanks.

Nirschi,

as requested I sent two builds to the email address you provided and also a third email.

I have not received any replies, I suspect your ISP is blocking my emails.

Hi David alias Microfunguy,

it is the other way round, I recieved all your messages!

To the message you attached IXUS800_2.zip I replied:

Hi David,

TEST 1:
plugging in: blue LED lights, screen blanks, flash prefires.
plugging out (or 10s timeout): flash fires and shot taken, blue LED turns off immediately.
image is somewhat dark

TEST 2:
Same as above but image has normal exposure (compared it with a manual shot)

TEST 3 (again):
both 'Near' and 'Far' values where updated.

100% success!
No! - only 99% , there is already no 'OSD Parameters\StereoParameters\Synchronisation' menu entry  :)

I have found parameter 'b' in the script as 'Delay enable', but you should change your Synch_Test.txt.

btw - a funky splash screen!

I have access to a second IXUS800, some USB cables for spare and know at which end to hold a soldering iron, should I also test some inter-camera stuff?

cheers
  nirschi

EDIT: I sent an email to myself (to a second account), my ISP does not block any messages (it never has), it's yours!
I sent you 6 emails in sum!

EDIT2: I sent you 2 more test emails via the second account, we will find the bug  :)

That is fine, it is meant to be, the script sets flash exposure to -4 stops.
In a stereo setup, this is the "no flash" camera.

OK.

That will be excellent, I will send you the details.

I will check my email filtering, maybe I have black-listed your ISP.

I received your last two emails.

Thanks.

David
