Hi!

Pressing SET and DISP shows Firmware Version: 1.0.1.0

It is bought in europe.

Can this still be used for CHDK?

Welcome Turbo_SE!

Since you have a supported model, you do can use CHDK.

From the FAQ http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ:
Please note! your camera's firmware version is NOT 1.0.0.0 or 1.0.1.0! It's a number that looks similar to this example: 1.01e. If you get a number like 1.0.1.0, then you did not do it properly. Try again.

Another way to find your firmware version is by trial and error:
Go to http://mighty-hoernsche.de/ and download one of the versions for S5IS, say 1.01A. If it doesn't work (the camera freezes), then use the other one: 1.01B.

I should have read more carefully...  :haha

So, without the ver.req file it shows the version in the format i get?
