Hello,

Is it possible to load and display image(s) from the memory card with UBasic or LUA?

The latest SDM has the uBasic command 'playback_mode' that you could use and then 'press' the left and right buttons to browse the images.

Sweet! Does it override a physical mode switch, such the one on IXUS80IS?

We now have two ways of switching to playback mode.
Overriding the memory-mapped values that represents the status of various switches or using a Canon firmware function suggested by ewavr.

For switching to playback mode on the ixus80, SDM 1.80 uses the switch override method .. simply because I already knew it worked.

In playback mode, you can also use a switch connected to the USB to browse the images, start slideshow or play movies.
