Hi all,

I have been reading this forum for weeks, but I still don't know all I want. Hopefully some of you can help me. I have a 400d with firmware version 1.1.1 I would like to see 2 extra features in the firmware. The first and probably the most easy is to have an additional language. The second is to somehow enable auto iso in AV and TV modes. Maybe extend the auto iso from 100-400 to 100-1600 or so.
As I've read the procedure looks something like this:
1., get the original frimware from canon's website. I've downloaded the e4kr3111.fir file (done )
2., decrypt the firmware (done)
3., edit the file
4., decrypt again ( working to reverse the decription process )
5., upload to camera

Is there a debugger or some other software to edit the decoded file ? If yes what is it and how can I get it ? Firs I want only to change the string to have an additional language by changing another.

Any help would be aprishiated

All other boards are about Canon P&S cams.
