Any ETA on chdk for A470?

Oh how I need it now!!!
A470 is not supported by gphoto or cam4you_remote...is there something wrong or unusual about this camera?
any update would be much appreciated

CHDK support depends on a developer having the camera, time, interest and ability. This is essentially random and doesn't have much to do with the camera.

...and if you were asking if there's something wrong or unusual because it's not supported for remote control by gphoto or cam4you_remote... no, nothing unusual there. Canon has chosen not to include any remote control support for their inexpensive models these days, meaning those programs physically can't support remote control of most current Canon point&shoots.

There's only PTP image download and if you are lucky, PTP upload too.

actually, yes, the a470 does support PTP/MTP and even includes software to download images from and upload images to the camera (ZoomBrowser EX/CameraWindow).

The only thing missing is the abilitity to trigger the camera to shoot, which I dearly would love to have for a photographic automaton I am working on.
