I bought a AC adaptor  (ACK800 clone) for my A590. On the screen it says 3.66v. With fully charged batteries il shows 2.6v. Is it normal ?

Probably. 3.6V is more than the original adapter would give to the camera, but it should be save up to around 3.9-4V (At this voltage, the camera starts to malfunction).

Upside of such a high voltage is a faster charging flash.

The one I use is genuine Canon, stated output voltage is 3.15 volts, it shows 3.6 volts on OSD.

i just made a "dummy" battery  with a couple of diodes in series for the voltage drop.
powered from 5 volts, 

chdk reads 3,4V when "idle"
