It's been a few weeks since i first tried CHDK and think it's a GREAT tool!  I recently tried to do a timelapse sequence and found out quickly my 512mb card wasn't going to cut it.  I then ordered an Trancend 8gb  SDHC card from newegg and was all excited to try it out only to find out it didn't work.  After a few hours reading posts on here as well as downloading Hex editors, HDHacker and a few other pieces of software i will never use again i am at a total loss on how to make this card work.  Am I just better off to send the card back and get a 4gb card or is there an actual way to use this one with my camera??

I have tried searching and read a lot of posts about this topic but none of them helped me at all.

The a610 is an older camera, it only supports SD, not SDHC. An SDHC card will not work.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

As reyalp stated, the A610 can only handle cards up to 2gb.
Maybe you can find a 4gb card that is actually 2X2 (with as small switch on it), but I don't know how you have to install CHDK.

The A610 could also handle 4GB cards, but they must be SD type, many new 4GB cards are SDHC instead, they will not work...
