Does anybody tried to use the remote control function within PS80 CHKD? If it works i would like to buy a rc controller device.

Yup, its working as it should under 3V, wakes camera from sleep, shoots camera. I already tried making a remote from a led flashlight (like the ones from the tutorials).

Planning on making one from those cheap solar flashlight keychain, im not that keen in replacing batteries.

I hope Revivery is still there, waiting for his newest build :)

rcperez, could you please be more specific about what tutorial you mean?

If you slice your mini USB wiring, its the RED (+) and black (-) wires are the ones that you will be using.

Still thinkering with chdk, it seems that manual focus override is not working, restarts camera on use.  I guess TFL table needs to be filled up.

I guess development on the S80 is on a hiatus again :(

??? manual focussing with the PS80???  What is the use? I think focussing by hand is, just on the hardware side of the issue, nearly impossible!

I do think  making the DNG option work would be an achievement. But thats far beyond my abilities. (-*

Just being objective, as what revivery said EFL was not inputed.  Also it wouldnt hurt if the manual override could push the lens a little bit more, like tele mode with zoom option. Or Macro mode (not Super) with zoom option and the ability to focus.  Or im just wishing for something which is technically impossible.

happy new year!

CHDKS80e version is great!

I has tried  most of function, and it works well. Recently, the formal chdk version adds "<ALT> mode botton" to reassign <ALT> key which will make S80 using underwater. Does version F or G add this function? It would be very helpful for divers.

Is there a F/G version already? If there's none, you could try doing a USB remote switch incorporated with your underwater gear.
