SX10 IS: CHDK installs just fine, then... nothing

I have an SX10 IS, f'ware v GM1.02B, and downloaded sx10-102b-0.9.9-867-full.zip. I'm using an 8 GB SD card, which, although I realize it won't work in auto-boot, AFAICanTell is OK for CHDK in general.

Started in Review mode, went to the bottom of the first menu, and selected "Firm Update...".

Update firmware version?
1.0.2.0 -> 1.1.0.0

Clicked "Yes".

Then, I got 2 sec of a blank screen, a red screen saying "CHDK RAW / Firmware has been successfully updated" (or something like that - it only stays up about 2 sec), and... nothing different.

The menus and screen are clearly Canon-issue, same as before.

What's going on?

Hi JoeMarfice2,
It seems that you saw the Splashscreen, which indicated CHDK has started, now give a quick short press to
the Print button and you should then see <ALT> at the bottom of the LCD screen, then press Menu to enter
the CHDK menus. Then start reading the manual.

Good luck.

Thanks, an0n. It seems like the PRINT button is a bit finicky, and doesn't reliably bring that ALT flag up for me.
