Thank
Sorry for spamming the thread :)

But is scripting not available in the beta?
When i try to find scripts on the card, the folder is blank
If you are using a multipartition card, you have to make sure the scripts are on the large one, not the small one with the chdk boot files.
you very much, i wasn't aware of that.
Now i just need to a way to turn off chdk when i don't need it :)

I think i have discovered a video bug:
When ever i control the quality of the video, every thing goes fine inside the apartment in the dim light, and the video records as it should. But when i try to go outside, in the sunlight it after about 2 seconds shows some kind of buffer, and stops the recording.

in dim light the kb/s is lower than in bright light. because of more "information" to record and likely more frames per second. thats why a quality setting for indoors is too high for outdoors.

(watch the detail level of the flowerishing trees and the small window of the garage door)

edit: Last Picture with "extreme" aperture 33 but with ISO100 (due that ISO25 will need a shutterspeed of 1/8 and despite of Image Stabilizer the picture will get blurry)

---

Actually seeing is believing (compare first two pictures with settings available by "official firmware" and the pictures with the "freedom" by CHDK)

CHDK really enhances our Canon Cams...
How do you get all the way up to apeture 33, i can only set mine to 16?

Has anyone been able to get a bracketing script running on their SX1? The ones I have tried cause the camera to take one photo then freeze.
Thanks.

hey guy's, Ive use started checking out this camera and came across a remark on flickr about chdk getting an avrage of 7fps or ssp. is this true ? ive tried reading page for page but keep only getting to page 12 or 14. thinking bout this camera insted of the xsi due to less to cary around and a nice in between of a dslr and my old a720is. love chdk on my 720 and want a dslr but would end up giving the 720 to my step daughter. 7 shots per second would be sweet.

I've tested this on "fe50" request. Read this: http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,3410.msg32317.html#msg32317

(only works in High ISO (3200) Mode and with fixed focus)

I guys, im going crazy with my problem:

I managed to get the chdk work on my Sx1, making the 2 partitions and placing the boot file in the small one, and the chdk folder in the big one.
All recognized, works well EXCEPT that I can't see the RAW files created with chdk.
With the internal file browser I can see them in the same folder as jpeg, but when I connect the camera to windows, only the jpegs are shown (it's not a windows problem).
The ONLY way is to swap partitions with sdminste.exe and then I can read all the folders/files, but I can't no more swap the partitions, no matter how. I have to rebuild everything.
All the same with the DNG.

I hope that someone can understand my problem, thanks.

Try changing the prefix and extension of the raw files (under raw settings). The camera will only offer certain combinations over PTP (usb) and this varies between cameras.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Great tip reyalp, I was about to scream "YES THAT'S IT!" but after have tried...doesn't work :( Even with "Raw files in same folder as JPEG".

Even if you set it to the same combination that native raw uses ?
