me too has an SX1 IS with 2.01a firmware,
I could help but I'm rather new to the CHDK stuff
and for worse my time is rather limited :( ,,, but I'll do my very best ;-)

I was so excited when I found out about CHDK but alas it was not meant to be for my new SX1 has a firmware of 2.01a.  So I resigned myself to waiting for the generosity of strangers in porting it for this FW.  But then I thought, would it be possible to downgrade and load FW 2.00H??  any ideas anyone?

I've checked in a change for the sx1 200h that may fix some crashes. This will appear on the autobuild server, build 791 or later. Someone used nullsub from an FFC00000 base camera  :(

Also, I've attached a test build for sx1 201a. Please note, I do not have an SX1 of any kind, so this is totally untested. It probably won't melt your camera, but it could easily crash. If you choose to try it, it's at your own risk.

and btw, to test 201a, I'd suggest downloading the full sx1 200h build from the autobuild server, and then replacing the diskboot.bin

tested with firmware 2.01A - camera locks up  :( (manual  firmware update and auto boot)

Firmware update loading has always been broken on SX1, and I didn't include a PS.FI2 in the zip, so you'd be using the wrong one anyway.

Do any LEDs come on or does anything show on the screen before it locks up ?

befor manual update ON/OFF LED GREEN on Monitor on - update - LED green on Monitor off no button funkions  - sorry my englisch is verry bad

THERE IS NO MANUAL UPDATE INCLUDED IN THE TEST manual update DOES NOT WORK ON SX1 AT ALL.
