usb remote cable for SX10 IS?

usb remote cable for SX10 IS?

just having a look around im a bit confused and unsure if a usb remote cable will actuallt work on the SX10 IS, read a few things about it but would love some input on this and if its possible the best way to go about it before i go and hack cables up etc

Well, you can try very simply by pluggin your usb  cable into the camera and the computer, and activating the usb remote on chdk. Or even better, if you have a small usb charger, like for mp3 players.

ok so i plugged the usb cable into the camera and the computer, activated the remote on chdk and i could use the camera fine so i guess all thats left to do now is find out best way to go about making a remote

No problem ;)
No, you don't have to do anything, just plug it to the usb port, which will give 5 volts to your camera, as a remote control would do. If it worked, you're ready to build your own remote!
