I did get my autobuild from there, and it looks like there is a PS.F12 file inside the unzipped folder on my COMPUTER. However, the directions (on the mac FAQ) never said to do anything with that file so it isn't on my card. I only moved the diskboot.bin file and the CHDK folder. Should I move the PS.F12 file to the root of my card also?
And now I notice my card is behaving strangely-- the first time I put it in to my card reader it showed no contents and when I tried to eject it it claimed it was in use. I ejected it anyway and put it back in and now the photos and CHDK stuff show up. But I double-clicked on the CHDK folder and it showed some contents for a second and then they disappeared! This is very odd behavior, any idea what it might mean?
(It might mean I had too many layers of USB connectors for it to go through. Since the card reader is fat it blocks other ports, so I had it on a USB extension cord. I unplugged other USB stuff and plugged it in directly and it seems to be working better. Does that make sense as an explanation?)
EDIT: I just moved the PS.F12 file over to the root of my card, but I'm not sure if it affected anything. My camera still seems to be working the same as it was before. Meaning, the CHDK comes up in locked mode, and the only function I've tried works, but I still can't figure out how to make it not autoboot. I think it is working overall, and I just have to learn how to use it.
