1. could i shoot HD video with CHDK?
2. on which cameras could i do that?
3. is there a plan to support A510 in the future?

CHDK can't add HD video to your camera except timelapses of course.

There are never any plans to port any camera. If someone who's capable of porting has one and ports it, then it happens, otherwise not likely.

so why someone told me not to buy the nikon d90 if i want a dslr with video? ... he told me to buy a canon & use chdk to shoot video...

wait a second. you are willing to buy a DSLR - for video? a d90? not even full HD?
buy a camcorder.
btw there is no DSLR that is supported by chdk yet. so someone told you to buy instead of a "video-dslr" a compact camera? wow.

i told him i want the d90 because i want to shoot good photos & here & there some video.
he told me that i better buy the canon 50d & use chdk for the video.

50d and video? either buy the 5dmkII or shoot video tethered to the pc ;)

I have a canon S5 IS with chdk latest version. How can i shoot timelapses? I mean to use the intervalometer and how to set it? Do i need a separate script to do this? If yes, which and how?
