we have allot of megabytes of raw shoot buffer
I think OS uses it exclusively for RAW image.
Can't we use it for pack/unpack purposes?
along with PS.FIR, bottdisk.bin and cfg there can be alot of small files : scripts, texts
several times I had to cleanup card using format due to broken file system ( some pictures were unreadable. I m not sure why. camera have been shutdown correctly )
Also it is recommended to make low level format for taking videos
also some users have troubles to erase all files (

I myself have lost plastic lock on one of my cards while locking/unlocking
