Hi,
after each shot, the LCD shows the image but garbled with multi-colored opaque lines. the photo is fine, but i can only see it properly after switching to view mode.

Camera: A630 with all releases that I can remember

Aren't you using Zebra in record mode, by any chance?

Yes. I disabled it and now it's fine. Can't I use it then?

Haha, I like to be right this way^^
You can use it, there is no problem. It does not affect photo quality, it is just a display "bug" and will not harm your camera ;)
