Is there a way to remove the 2hrs time limit of the built-in timelapse mode of the SD870/IXUS 860 ?
I know there are intervalometer scripts, but (correct me if I'm wrong please) they produce pictures, not movies. I find the built-in mode very convenient, as it directly produces an avi movie, without the need of a computer.
If there's no way to remove the 2hrs time limit, what would be a good software to produce a movie from individual pictures ? The ones I tried were very slow, or had limits in the number of pictures that could be assembled, or couldn't produce 30 fps movies.

On windows you can use virtualdub http://www.virtualdub.org/
for making movies from your jpegs.
For this purpose, i would say that it has no limits.
