Hi,
This is all new stuff to me. I have no idea how to load the hack on my camera. I have a canon S3. Can someone help me ? I would greatly appreciate any help. I would like to get the battery life display and longer shutter speeds. Thanks, Leonard

Ok, I'm really sorry, but I'm confused.

It seems there is an autoload and a not autoload for these cameras, so I'm not sure of the difference, but under any circumstance, ever, does CHDK make a permanent change, to the camera itself (rather then card, which is not permanent)?  I just want to double check, I got this impression from the wiki, but I'm not 100%
Also, as a new user to CHDK but a well versed computer user, is it recommended to make the camera autoload when first trying it, and is cardtricks recommended?

Sorry for asking probably redundant questions, but I figured better safe then sorry.

Thanks in advance,

-John

Please don't, it's normal. But, you can help us to help others.

What is your first confusing matter in CHDKing?
(like: choose the version file or deal with the card or...)

Do you like more ilustrated pages or plain text pages?

Where do you find more easily your answers?

Do you prefer read a downloaded manual or a hypertext (web page with links)?
