IXUS 110 IS - SD960

Using CardTricks and newDryOS on a 1Gb SD card. Powering up in playback mode does nothing (which I gather is a good sign), however no dump is produced.

Any tips would be much appreciated.

I've been scouring the forums and wiki for next steps, but have been unsuccessful in determining what I might try next.

Thanks,

Peter

From what I gather from other reports, the current udumper code does not work on some of the newer cameras.  Can you post the data returned from the ver.req file.

It's a little tricky on this camera because the disp button is the bottom of the scroll wheel.

I get

P-ID:31BD NT D

Firmware ver GM1.01D

I posted the ver.req results a month ago on:

I also have had no luck with the udumper program.
I've got an SD960 also, a tiny bit of programming experience, and am willing to help.

Any tips/tricks will be appreciated.

Just finished multiple attempts using the Cardtricks dumper.  Tried for 1 min, 2 min and 10 min.  Nothing in the dump file.

Of note: only the NewDryOS dumper responds correctly (no camera response when display selected).   The other dumpers cause camera to come on and display "Card Locked" error message at bottom of screen.

So the newDryOS must be the one or close to it.

This sounds like the other new cameras that don't work with udumper. See http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,3347.0.html for some discussion.

reyalp:

checked out that post -

I had similar reactions except I was able to get the firmware information (posted on the SD960 page - see above).

I also used a full sized SD card, though it was of an antique 128 Mb size (should not have mattered since the file sizes are so small).

I wonder where we go from here?

If you are a coder, you can try to do something with FI2 files, as discussed later in that thread. If not, there's not much to do.

I looked at the thread, but found nothing on FI2 files.

I'm willing to spend some time working on this...
