I've put my documentation on the wiki: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/Adding_support_of_a_new_camera

I basically replaced the old article completely as most of it was either also in my article, somewhere else on the wiki or, in my opinion, not useful. If you disagree, feel free to let me know or make the changes yourself.

I second that. I'd only suggest to leave a more informative memo about the article that the current one replaces. The historical value of the original text is that it was written early on by VitalyB, the great founder of CHDK. I believe it was the only complete article on the subject he ever published in any language, except CHDK code itself (I may be wrong though).

It is incredible no-one knows who he is.

He should come forward and take full credit for his pioneering work.

I wonder why he has not, maybe he works for Canon

Ukrainian members should try to track him down.

VitalyB never sought fame. Assuming everybody's right to some privacy, I don't think it is a good idea to pursue and track him down -- or anybody else for that matter.
