I am so excited reading the FAQ in this site.
now before Start I have a question

the feature that I really really want is to be able to set a timer and have it take picture continuously (or set to 5 picture, or 10 picture)

is there anyone here that would be able to help me write the script? or that feature will be built in if I install CHDK for 570IS by default? can I write the script myself? from 1 - 10 , what level of scripting knowledge is required to have this feature?

I downloaded the Ultra Intervelometer script from the link above and it worked perfectly. I haven't tested the others.

I use the chdk on my SX230 and SD1100 cameras, and I installed them using a Macbook, currently running 10.6.8.
