I did the usual Tv bracketing, 1 +/- ev.

The settings on the camera I tried is driving mode and continous 3 shots 0 second or 1 second in b/w

the shots takes 2-3 second in between instead of the 0 or 1 second

this happens in darker areas where flash is needed

thanks for the help, going on vacation soon so i need this fixed :)

alright i was shooting in raw, and the camera auto sets the shutter speed in dark areas (something very slow like 1 and 2.5). i solved the first one.

can't solve the second one

i think it's my fault

since the camera compensates for the light and slows the shutter down..any advice on how to bracket it properly under low light?

I am sorry, but I am confused...

What is your unsolved problem?

I'm not sure what the remaining problem is but I'll make a guess that it's those flash shots and tv bracketing.

The thing is, when you shoot with flash, Tv (exposure time) does not affect exposure much at all if it's dark enough and the flash of light happens while the shutter is open (which it does).... so, Tv bracketing will not have much of an effect on the outcome. ISO bracketing will, I suppose.

Does shooting in raw make it take longer to take a photo?

I use the chdk on my SX230 and SD1100 cameras, and I installed them using a Macbook, currently running 10.6.8.

Shooting per se doesn't take longer, but writing a RAW to a file does (as they are much bigger than JPEGs).
