Motion detection Bracketing

Would it be possible to combine the features of motion detection and bracketing into one script? say if motion is detected the bracketing starts, like the bracketing is triggered by motion of any sort( the first picture taken has right exposure)  This would be a so cool feature ! Imagine the possibilities!  HDR  lightning photography for example...

You could certainly write a script that took a bracketed sequence when motion was detected. This should be a fairly trivial modification of existing MD scripts.

You can't shoot fast enough to get HDR lighting. If it was a big storm, you might get multiple strikes.

Don't forget what the H stands for.

Just use the MDFB script in burst mode for a few seconds (set your camera to continuous mode and enable bracketing before starting the script) and for each motion detection you will get a few images, each with different exposure according to your bracketing setup. A lightning will of course be present only in the first shot.

If you want only one shot for each motion detection and different exposure each time, then you need to modify the script a bit. In this case each shot will have a different kind of a lightning.

Thanks! it didn't cross my mind that i could use the MDFB script in burst mode with bracketing enabled. Sweet! It worked like a charm when i tried it! A lightning present only in the first shot  of a series was the exact thing i was thinking about. Thanks again :)
