another g10 user waiting here too, i have been watching this thread for 9months now, and i am wondering why after the long list of other cameras the have succesfully been ported why not this one.
See http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ#Q._My_camera_isn.27t_ported_yet._Is_a_port_planned.C2.A0.3F_When_will_it_be_ready.C2.A0.3F_How_can_I_help.C2.A0.3F there is no schedule. A port happens when a developer with the required skill has the time and access to the camera. It has nothing to do with how many people want a port, or what other cameras have been ported.

Maybe if there is a cash insentive for the programmer, even enough to payback for the cost of the camera that they would most likely need to purchase, so i suggest a fund in principle? we could nut out the details when nessecary?
See http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,2.0.html rule number 4

As much the developers here might like extra cash or free cameras (and who wouldn't ?), the consensus is that it is undesirable to have this kind of thing associated with the project or discussed on the forum. Of course, anyone is free to do whatever they like with the source as long as they comply with the GPL.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Hi guys I just want to say that I followed the instructions about the G9 porting and did a little reverse engineering. All is looking good, I have about 15 missing functions to locate and then CHDK will probably boot in this one. I kind of abandoned it for a couple of months because of lack of time but I plan to resume working this summer vacations.
In my G10 it already spawn processes and almost boot, but still hangs at the end of the booting process. It's a GM1.02A firmware. Regards, Alfred
