Hi People, I got some news. I still couldn't make CHDK work on the G10, but we did some research together with my pal Oren, we reverse-engineered the native scripting language of the Canon cameras, now you can execute basic on many unmodified powershot cameras (Almost all have a native basic language interpreter embedded in the firmware, not the chdk's ubasic). I will be posting a small user guide with soon. It may help a lot with the porting.

I've uploaded the complete working g10/loader-code here: loader.tar.bz2 - 0.00MB

Does anyone have this code, the link does not work.

I've just re-uploaded it:

(I'm also willing to share the rest of the code I'd ported - IMHO it should have worked, but the camera just reboots instead of starting with CHDK :( )

Also, ERR99, unless I'm mistaken someone already added the 1.04 firmware to the wiki (http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/G10), or is this not the correct file?

Yeah, that's been me - I'd dumped & uploaded 1.04 some month ago...

Hello everyone!

Just discovered CHDK project! (and am willing to see it working on my G10). My firmware is 1.04A and of course I am open of uploading anywhere I am requested to. I am also willing on collaboration so if there is something I can do please count on me.

If i can point something desired on the "upcoming CHDK G10-1.04A" release ;-) I'd say:

* scriptable timed shooting
* Bulb exposures
* Hi-res video.

enough for now. Thanks everyone involved, again please take me into account. Nice work!

Pablo

This thread shows what has been done. As far as I can tell, no one is actively working on it.
