Nice work Waterwingz! Curious if you upgraded your firmware or if you learned of any differences between 1.00F/1.00H and 1.02A, outside of what Canon describes.

My brother has a G10 and expect to graduate to CHDK raw school since he saw my A650is.

The G10 supports RAW natively - no need for CHDK for that.  Unless you know some reason why CHDK RAW is different / better than Canon RAW ?

Porting Update :  Got the buttons decoded - menus & OSD stuff now working.  Feels somehow weird to have a real Print button to enter <ALT> mode after nine months of using the DISP button for that function on my SD940.
Sorry, I would say CHDK school instead of CHDK raw school. Programmability is the principal reason :)

You are confuse, adapting to ALT button. I predict you will be confuse returning to SD940 DISP button :)

Tonight I released "Beta 1" version of G10 CHDK to the 19 people who signed up for Beta testing.  It does not do much more than start CHDK,  display the logo, activate the OSD icons, allow entry to <ALT> mode to display the menus and run the default script while in <ALT> mode.   But that's progress after 2+ years.

Camera firmware supported is 1.02A,  1.03B and 1.04A.   Those with 1.00F and 1.00H are recommended to install the official Canon update to bring their cameras up to firmware 1.02A level.

Once things are a little farther along and mostly stable,  I'll start a new thread for G10 Beta testing and make the most current beta releases available for general distribution.

CHDK get. Installed. And best of all... working!

I upgraded from 1.00F to 1.02A for anyone interested.

Waterwingz, I sent you an e-mail regarding some of the differences I am getting compared to what you list I should see.

    Exciting times.

Again... Thanks for all your efforts! As soon as I get "reunited" with my G10, I will proceed to do all possible testing.

    Thanks!

Update :   I have heard back from the beta test volunteers that they have had succes with the 1.02A and 1.04A Beta1 release.  Still waiting for word from the two 1.03B testers.

If there are any other volunteers out there with the 1.03B version,  it looks like we can use some help.
