RAW (newbie questions)

To get DNGs straight from the camera go to the "RAW parameters" menu and tick the "DNG format" option.

To erase CRWs go to the "File browser" in "Miscellaneous stuff" and mark (right button) all files you don't want. Then open the menu (left button) and select "Delete".

"Purge RAW" will only remove CRW files if their corresponding JPG is missing, so it won't help in your situation.

When you activate CRW/DNG, CHDK displays a legend with the remaining shots, so that's how you can tell if you accidentally enabled them.

The forum is under major maintenance, user accounts with 0 posts or 90 days without signing in were deleted.

Yeah, I'm sure I'll get used to everything. And now that I know how to delete raw files I don't care so much about that button :-)

I tried that and it complained that I don't have the BadPixel script. Where do I get that?

I am getting the same message as above. Any pointers? I was trying on a Powershot S2 IS with FW 1.00F

It's included in the full CHDK zip, in the chdk/scripts/test directory
