Neither I am able to get the CHDK shutter speed-function to work.

Whatever I do, my Canon G9 still uses the shutter speed that the camera "think" is appropriate or the shutter speed that I am setting in the native camera settings.

In the CHDK, I have tried with setting "Disable Overrides" to [Off], [On] and [Disable].
I have changed number for "Override shutter speed" to several different numbers.
I have changed the "Value factor" to [Off] and [1].
I have changed the physical dial to "Tv"-mode, "Av"-mode, "M"-mode and so forth.

Am I stupid? What am I supposed to do in order to get it to work?

Don't forget what the H stands for.
