Javascript must be enabled / allowed for HD View...

Yes, I did, even though I normally disable it.

I can get it working with IE but not Firefox.

I will look for latest version of plugin.

You could try it with a "clean" portable FF version, e.g. from http://portableapps.com/ ...

Hi David, I've had a look at what may be wrong with looking at HD view.  I guess you may be using linux or mac,  as it seems to work on all my available windows firefox installations.  I tried on my ubuntu server with firefox v3.0.10 (had to install gnome first!)  & found it didn't work.  As far as i can tell there is no silverlight plugin for linux.  Novell are writing one in open source called moonlight.  You'll need v2.0 but it's in early release:  http://www.go-mono.com/moonlight-preview/  It's not 'fully featured'  so may not work.

Anyhow,  if you're interested I could upload a couple to gigapan.org.  I'm writing the instructable which should be ready in a day or so.  The rig is in prototype phase.  Servo noise is the biggest problem which I'll post on the picaxe forum.  I'm interested if there can be additional interaction between SDM firmware & the panorama rig eg setting number of shots in x and y axes

No, Windows XP.
A friend also could not get it to work.
Where is the official Firefox plugin, the Microsoft links are dead ?
What is this SilverLight .. yet another plugin ?

It was a nice day in Snowdonia by the looks of it, I live about 60 minutes away.

I give up  .....

The Microsoft installer that was downloaded makes no mention of Firefox, I do wonder if it is correctly detecting my browser.

It will not let me install the plugin, only repair it .. so it obviously thinks the plugin is already installed.

The panorama is displayed for a fraction of a second before returning to the HDView splash.

Last try?

I disabled the plugin in firefox from tools, add-ons,plugins,  shutting down firefox,  reinstalling the msi (HDViewInstall_3_2.msi) then restarting firefox.  Works at this end  ;)

This is ridiculous .. the webpage says that it is not installed but when I try to install it , it only gives repair or uninstall options.

If I repair it, it says installed OK but the webpage says that it needs to be installed !

A Google search shows many people simply cannot get it working.
