Ultra Intervalometer on SX10 hangs the camera on startup

Hi, I am using Ultra Intervalometer on SX10 fw 1.02b (beta CHDK). After running UI successfully and shutting down the camera, I cannot start up the camera with CHDK set to boot (camera starts, CHDK loads and simply camera turns off). Same thing when trying to start CHDK with firmware update.

If I delete the file CHDK\DATA\ULT_IN~1_0 and ULT_IN~1.cfg the camera and CHDK start up just fine.
Content of the ULT_IN~1_0 file (file does not have extension):
@param a Delay 1st Shot (Mins)
@default a 0
@param b Delay 1st Shot (Secs)
@default b 5
@param c Number of Shots
@default c 2
@param d Interval (Minutes)
@default d 0
@param e Interval (Seconds)
@default e 0
@param f Interval (10th Seconds)
@default f 5
@param g Endless? No=0 Yes=1
@default g 0

And my SD card is partitioned, firts part. FAT16, 24 MB with CHDK dir and bin and fi2 file, second part. FAT32, 15 GB, FAT32 with the CHDK directory and the scripts (this is where the above param files are located).
Could this be the problem? The CCHDK.CFG file is also saved on this partition and I dont need to delete that to start CHDK again
Thank you.

Is "save params" set in the script menu ? If so, try turning it off.

What is the filename of the script ? You might try naming it to something 8.3 or less.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Thank you for the assistance.

Renaming the script file to a 8.3 name solved the issue.

OK, that's probably a generic CHDK bug then.

@Arakris

just make sure the script filename has max. 8 characters before,
and max. 3 characters after the dot and don't use illegal characters
like space, =, etc

read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/8.3_filename

hth,

wim

Hey,

actually that didnt solve it, it worked the first two times, then it happend again..
so i changed all the script files i added to max 7 characters (mixed cases) and it happend again..
then i tried all simple letters..same thing
then i tried all capitals and now it just freezes on the startup image for a while and then turns off..

pls help!!

I am running the same script on the same build of the SX10 and when I try and run the script it just turns the camera off after taking no photos- I tried reducing the file-name, but it didn't work.
