Hi,
I'm using MDFB-080914 succesfully in my S3 for lighting photography. Nevertheless, I'm unable to see Columns and Rows when using MD. I'm seeing same problem with current build (CHDK 0.9.8.776), but previous versions failed in the same way. I remember that, at some time, I was able to see it.

Any clue? Am I doing something wrong?

thats odd. i also use the mdfb script on my s3is, i always see the grid.

Try deleting the CHDK configuration file CHDK/CCHDK.CFG (or just move it elsewhere somewhere safe if you'd like to restore your current CHDK settings later) and see if that brings your grid back and then maybe someone can figure out which setting conflicts with it, if any.

It might depend on camera settings too. If the canon OSD is updating frequently, I expect it would kill the grid along with the rest of the CHDK OSD.

I have renamed cchdk.cfg and now the grid works. Thanks!
Now, I wish I had a way to move my cchdk.cfg settings to the new-from-scratch file, one by one to get the cause of the problem and not losing my good settings!

You can try the CHDK Config file editor...
