SD300 / Ixus 40 and Bracketing

Hello, I am using the canon SD300 (aka Ixus 40).  I am trying to use the bracketing features for HDR, but I can't for the life of me get bracketing to work at all. I have been able to shoot RAW images, but bracketing seems to not work at all.

I have tried the bracketing features built into CHDK as well as several bracketing scripts.  Sometimes I see an E26 error followed by the camera turning off when i try to shoot, but other than that I can't really explain what happens, it just seems to not work.

The camera uses a DiGiC II chip.

I have tried following this tutorial: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK_for_Dummies#CHDK_Features.  My camera does not have Drive Mode (or a custom one for that matter). Does this mean I can't do bracketing with this camera?  Some of the other tutorials mentioned setting the self-timer to 0 and the delay to 0. My camera only gives me the option to set the self-timer to 2 or 10 seconds.  Any one have any suggestions on a script that might work for this camera?

Thanks In advance

Hi and Welcome mateobus,
Set your Canon menu to continuous drive mode (page 73 of your camera's manual), and then make settings for desired type of bracketing in CHDK menu (Main Menu>Extra Photo Operations>Bracketing in Continuous mode), switch out of ALT mode, then shoot desired number of shots by holding shutter button down. Your camera appears not able to shoot more than one shot with Custom Timer Mode.
Hope this helps, Cheers.
A720IS.
