Switching on the camera with CHDK

Hello,

Probably asked before, but since there are so many topic, I couldn't find the answer.

I have Canon S5 and installed CHDK, everything works fine, except the little annoying thing. When I switch the camera on with CDK enabled, it always goes to the photos mode (to view photos) and not to take the pictures.

Is it a known issue (or maybe not an issue)?

Thank you.

If you hold down the power button a bit longer, it should start in record mode.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Basic Questions regarding EXP and get_shooting
« Reply #3 on: 21 / June / 2009, 11:03:25 »
Two easy questions:
   1.  What is EXP doing?  You can set Sv, Av, and Tv and the camera then overrides setttings using EXP.
What does it adjust?  Tv?  Is EXP bracketing exactly the same as Tv bracketing?

   2.  What does get_shooting() indicate?  What is completed when get_shooting() is 'true'.
I know that all camera operations are not complete i.g. recording video data to the memory card.
Is ther a prop case that indicates when recording is complete?
