Shooting Images at 1280x720?

I have been searching for an answer to this and have found nothing specific. I have several Canon digicams, but am primarily interested in scripts for the A630 and A530.

From the factory, there are several resolutions available to the end user, down to VGA (640x480). Is it possible to run a script that would tell the camera to crop the sensor to shoot 1280 x 720? I want to be able to take time-lapse images using an intervalometer script and turn them into 720p HD AVI videos of a motorcycle trip...

Any ideas?

Tony

No, you cannot do this.

I'd suggest shooting the next larger image and downsampling/cropping when you create the video. Virtualdub can do both.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

Okay, thanks... it never hurts to ask. It must be controlled by firmware.
