How do I just take a picture using CHDK?

Ok, obviously new and I've read quite a few of the FAQ's and printed out the very latest manual. My two main motives for CHDK are to extend video recording time with the best quality (for an upcoming event), and then work with the extended photo capabilities.

I can get CHDK installed, but how do I take a simple picture with a faster shutter speed? I've been using my S2 IS for sports photography and have some decent results shooting baseball games.

Do I need to run a script just to take a picture?

Thanks,
Brian

No, you can set shutter speed override in the CHDK "extra photo operations" menu.

I'd be surprised if you need shutter speeds beyond the normal factory maximum to shoot sports.
Don't forget what the H stands for.
