Hi,
if you call a sd600 your own, you have to dump the firmware yourself, if nobody else has this type of camera.
start by reading threads like http://chdk.setepontos.com/index.php/topic,17.0.html and the one about the universal dumper. this way you can be an active part in the community, learn some new stuff, and to top it all off - keep the money! dumping the firmware is the most important thing to do in this process, everything else can be done without actually possessing the camera, that means someone else can do the actual porting for you.

Seems like someone dumped the firmware.  Maybe there is hope for us SD600 owners.

IMHO, someone could do it for no more than free or no less than $2,000. Offering 20 bucks is discourteous. (Note that I didn't smite you!).

Don't be too hard to all the newbes.
If he didn't know about how much work it its to port, he supposed 2 hours, so for "coding fo fun"
it's enough. But I assume it takes much longer. ;)

It takes 4-6 hours of "coding for fun" if you have the camera, have the similar camera ported, know what should be changed and there is no problem. Otherwise it can take months. :D

You are hero! For me this time is 2-3 days for new camera (with camera)...
But if camera already is ported, adding new firmware version  lasts 2-3 hours (without camera) .

Wow, we have S5IS 1.01b! Now somebody can add support for 1.01a.
