Hello!
Is there any command that I can use to retract the lens?
Maybe zooming out until the lens is in the case or shutting down the camera or other way?

thanks

Not that I know of.

In REC mode this could be dangerous and probably shouldn't be tried even if there was a command. In PLAY mode I don't know of any other way than to wait for Canon's power savings delay (which may be affected by Canon menu power saving time setting).

So basically if you are asking because you want e.g. a slow intervalometer to wait with lens protected, you'll need to switch between REC and PLAY.

Yes, I have just tried the following SDM uBasic script on my A620 :-

@title Retract lens

playback_mode
sleep_for_seconds 75
record_mode
end

It works fine.
Lens retracts after about 60 seconds.

I didn't notice the ubasic command to return to record mode?

@microfunguy: why bother cluttering up the command namespace with 'sleep_for_seconds 75' when 'sleep 75000' was already available?

So if I understand it correctly I must turn to playback mode and wait for lens to retract?

Thank you all for your help :)

It is only supported in SDM 1.80

Please try that.

rename your existing DISKBOOT.BIN and replace with SDM version.

Let us know if that works.

Hello!
Yes Microfunguy, with SDM 1.80 the playback_mode works realy well, but instead I am not able to shoot in sequence has I do with the oficial release. The options menu is very diferent and stereo foto oriented.

I am not able to shoot in sequence

Do you mean time-lapse ?
You certainly can !

See here and here.

The time-lapse script is in Common_files.zip.

No, Not in time-lapse. I has talking about setting continuous mode.
If I set the continuous mode manually on the camera the script shoot continuously until I press the button again. But after changing to playback mode (in order to retract the lens) if i try to return to record mode the continous mode isn't activated anymore.....
I am looking now for a command that can set continuous mode inside the script.
