This forum is good, but I don't like the smiles it uses. They are ... mm ... rugged and looks unfriendly for me, IMHO.
It would be great to replace them by, for example, these ones.

The board was setup to resample all images *uploaded* to the server to PNG, that's why yours is static. Try to re-upload it again to see if the animation sticks.

But the message title icons are still uses old set.

... and the other smile-themes (default and classic) miss some icons.
