Can you please clarify the price that we pay by increasing the JPEG size to match the sensor size?

Maybe the colour values in the extreme edge pixels may be incorrect, but at least you get more FOV. Are you saying that making this change degrades the quality of the remaining more-central pixels?

I did search the forum, but only this post came up when searching "Active Area".

Thanks
Elia

bether, it is not good idea. Increasing active area, you get thin black borders around the image (these borders are blind areas of camera sensors). Increasing Jpeg size (or crop size) you get interpolation artifacts during developing DNG file. Properly crop size serves to avoid interpolation artifacts

heya artden, a few feature suggestions to get you going once you're back from vacation:

1. please catch the "folder not found" message, when at startup your program tries to open last used folder (and this folder was renamed or removed). i get it all the time, because i delete my raw folders after i processed everything to dng. windows plays that damn annoying sound once it detects your error message.

2. add an option to not develop RAW files that dont have corresponding jpg file in folder (perhaps with a checkbox in the mainscreen). i thought i can have a workaround for this by selecting just the raws that i wanted to be converted, but it still converts ALL raws it can find, even those without corresponding jpgs. so perhaps adding this checkbox i mentioned and also the option to "mark" files in the list, so that only these get converted?

3. there is a bug involving *.wav files (RAW files that got the extension WAV from the raw merge/sum feature in chdk). while your program parses the folder fine and shows the wav files and the corresponding jpg, it does NOT convert it if there is a raw file with the same number (but the crw extension). workaround: rename the file to another number, but then there is no corresponding jpg file. you know what i mean?

thanks for working on this fine piece of software!

thanks in advance, PhoX
