SD300 Scripts will not "Shoot"

Am using an SD300 with 100K firmware and have tried
  ixus40_sd300-100k-0.9.8-783-full.zip
  ixus40_sd300-100k-0.9.8-785-full.zip
  ixus40_sd300-100k-0.9.8-786-full.zip

Power up camera with CHDK set for auto boot with write lock on. Hit ALT, load the script, hit shutter release, and things generally work except "shoot".
Bottom line is that the "shoot" function sounds like it is taking a shot, but no image is ever recorded (SD card is always empty). Have used a variety of uBasic and LUA scripts as is and also stripping them down.
My real goal was time lapse and intervalometer work.

Any suggestions?  Any SD300 users who are successful?
Thanks.

Hello & wellcome, ip-eagle  !
Am using an SD300 with 100K firmware and have tried
...
Bottom line is that the "shoot" function sounds like it is taking a shot, but no image is ever recorded (SD card is always empty). Have used a variety of uBasic and LUA scripts as is and also stripping them down.
Some older Ixus cameras could have problems with the "shoot" command, try click/press/release sequences instead (see CHDK wikia: script commands), maybe a simple click "shoot_full" could do it...

Otherwise - first make sure the SD card and the CHDK configuration file are both OK; i suggest to format (low level) the card in the camera & copy the CHDK files again.

Since i don't have a SD300 i can't do tests...
- are RAW images captured when you enable RAW support in CHDK ?
- is it the same in different camera modes (AUTO / M) and with/without the flash enabled ?

Maybe there's something broken in the newer SD300 builds; you can try an older version (ixus40_sd300-100k-0.9.6-trunk718-gcc3-full.zip) from http://drop.io/fe50pub (uploaded it some weeks ago for DNG-support test, but got no response from the user)

I know that this is an older post but I ran into the same issue as the OP and just wanted to post a follow up in case anyone else came across this thread.  I followed the suggestions in order from fe50 (alternate commands to "shoot", format SD card, etc).  The suggestion that resolved the issue was turning off the flash.  With flash/redeye reduction enabled, the script will not run correctly.

Thanks for the help, fe50.

Thanks for the post, I think I'll get it all out and give it another try.
