Hi there

I have the CHDK on my camera, but when taking Raw photos for some reason it doesnt convert all the photos into Raw.  Can anyone help with this please

I take it this is the convertion software.

This is not what I mean if it is.

I have a problem where I take photos and no Raw file is produced.

e.g.
Take 100 photos, jpegs 1-100
Raw photos, 1-12, 23-34, 36-38 etc.

I just dont undertand why it missus out some of the photos

- in the CHDK RAW menu: is "Only first RAW in series" enabled ?
- in the CHDK RAW --> Exceptions menu: any exceptions enabled ?

Otherwise...there's also a known "bug" in the RAW capturing for some cameras: the "sporadic RAW images bug" (no RAW files are saved when the shutter button is pressed quickly - i.e. without half-pressing before) -> Forum links

First we should be sure that this is the real problem...pls. do some tests:

A)
Take some shots (maybe 30-50) with the CHDK default settings, always half-press the shutter button until the focus is ok, then press full (all RAW files should be stored)

B)
Then take some shots by quickly pressing the shutter full (now you should miss some RAW files)

OK, so it is the "sporadic RAW" bug.
This issue is well known, it can be solved by a developer (forum link)

Already added to the CHDK Bugtracker: Issue #298

This must be fixed by a developer;
Check the Bugtracker link above from time to time for news.

-> Press the shutter slowly / use the half+full press method when RAW is enabled.
