In any case, it's not possible to get full HD from CCD at the moment. From available data, Sony sensor 12 Mpix 1/2.33" can produce 720p at 30 fps with 4/6 readout. I also have info about 13.7 Mpix 1/1.7", which produces 800 horizontal lines in 30 fps mode - but you can't use all of them, because sensor is 4:3, and HD videos are 16:9, so you have to truncate top and bottom. But sensor in G10 is 14.7 Mpix, obviously different one, and there is no info about this one from Sony (maybe different manufacturer ? ). Other CCD sensors mostly have around 480 lines in video mode (some models up to 550), which is enough only for VGA
