CHDK is great, it made me use my Ixus 40/sd300 even more than before.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hccrp31iiiU&fmt=22

CHDK interval option settings:

Drivelapse
Shooting: 0,5fps
Rendering: 8fps

Everything else
Shooting: 0,5fps
Rendering: 30fps

My old 4mp camera became a pocketsize HD-timelapse machine with CHDK. Thanks to everyone involved in putting together this revolutionairy firmware.

Neat stuff. I'd love to see pix of that city square taken over a period of 100 years!

who's the artist of the song in the video?
Great time-lapse, how you did to have you camera on for so long in the car?

Andain - Beautiful Things Photon Remix, you can find it on youtube in the video description.

I have an external powersupply for my camera, but I haven't used it in this video. After some experimenting I found out that my camera can shoot 1900 frames on one batterycharge. More than enough for the drivelapse part, it is actually longer than this. All you have to do is disable everything you don't need. So the LCD has to be off, the AF-assist light has to be off, you use a lower resolution (don't know if less writing time really helps, but I also have a 2gb limit), all shuttersounds off and of course no flash. Just make sure that the camera doesn't use anything that you don't need and a simple Ixus can shoot 0,5 fps for up to 80 minutes.

Tape that baby to your rearview mirror and you're good to go.  :D
