Heck, some of the DSLRs have 2 CPUs.

Yeah, the 7D has dual DIGIC 4 processors.

Just one question
The colors RGB in my histogram are wrong, is this happening only for my camera or is it because we are in a beta version?
Thanks in advance

You mean the colors are not red, green and blue ? This would be a pallet problem, most likely. If you mean the histogram itself is incorrect, that would be a different issue.
Don't forget what the H stands for.

I would be quite surprised if the SX200 can record significantly higher res video at similar frame rates and quality. This would mean that canon had significantly over speced their components, and I don't think they are that stupid.

Isn't there a P&S Canon camera that can also record 1080p? It has a CMOS sensor though, so the limitation is probably in the sensor, not the hardware. On most CCDs you can't read the whole sensor at once, you can only read one out of 3 lines (without a mechanical shutter).

Yes the colors are not red, green and blue. Definitely a palet problem. Is anything I can do to fix that ?

Is it possible to correct the lens distortion with CHDK? The SX200's firmware does it.
Thanks for this great work, I get my SX200 today. :)

I would guess this is done on the DSP part of digic, which we don't control. Doing it on the ARM would be very slow. If it's not already done for the raw, you'd be better off doing it on your PC.

SX1 does 1080p, but yes it's with CMOS. Would be awesome to get 1080p out of SX200's CCD so there wouldn't be that annoying rolling shutter-wobbly effect of the CMOSes.

Is there any other progress being done with the CHDK? Just curious ::)

Hallo

I bought me a SX1 IS.  :D
We can now compare CHDK or find errors, since the SX1 is already ported so on.

The first error is the display presentation. On the SX1 is everything readable in the menus, the sx200 missing almost 50 percent of the width. Font too big?

The A560, which I had to test, behaved like the SX1 in the menus.

At this point must still be worked on, scripts etc., are thus more readable.

I have uploaded 2 pics from the Different OSDs http://drop.io/SX200BETA
