Enter the CHDK Menu, Miscellaneous Stuff / Debug Parameters / Create card with two partitions.

Another Tip is the SDM Installer. (must used also to change Partitions to read Picturers and so on)

As you could have read in my post, it's the SMALL partition that needs to be bootable !

To this copy the Diskboot.bin

The CHDK Folder copy to the Big Partition.

Then go to the SDM tool to change to the small partition !

But,

1. I've made the small partition bootable using CardTricks,
2. then I copied the bin file to the small partition,
3. then I swapped the partittions and copied the CHDK folder and files to the big partition,
3. then I started the camera.

The small partition should be the bootable one, do  I need to swap to the small one? If so do I need to swap the partition every time I need to use the card on the computer in order to look the photos?

I read it, and the small is bootable already but CHDK does not start automatically, only starts in playback mode->firmware update, see my screenshot:

Yes and yes, another solution is to read the Pictures with the USB Cable.

probably (see your post with the 3 pix) because you made the FAT32 partition bootable.
I have no idea how SDMINST works, but writing a bootable flag to a FAT32 partition
could possibly have damaged it.
Also, the small partition should be active (AKA visible in explorer)
