I don't know why SDMINST showed that but aefdisk32 gives me the correct information see my last screenshot above, the smaller partition is bootable, however if I make it the primary one (swap) CHDK does not give me a chance to start.

aha! did you guys notice ? Theplague has probably formatted his FAT32 partition with aefdisk,
because it's FAT32 LBA formatted (see post #665)

I did use aefdisk to /delall and create all the partitions... I copied the commands from another post.

What should I use then?

Just use SDMINST; start off with a card that's low level formatted in your camera and follow #652.

Ok, I did that now my cam start with CHDK automatically but in playback mode! It doesn't start in normal mode anymore... what happened?

Try holding the on/off button a little longer ...
otherwise, half-press shutter (can't be sure though, don't
have this cam)

wow, it's a kind of magic! after so much hasle and forum pages, I'm so sorry to bother, thank you so much whim, smartkiller and everyone else out there working on CHDK.

I've tested the optical zoom while recording and it works great!

Is there any other trick that I should know by now?

Next time I download the latest trunk, I just need to swap the disk and replace the bin file with the new one?
