I wonder if it would be possible to zoom, with optical zoom, while filming with the sx200, by modifying the firmware ?

Optical zooming in video is a standard CHDK feature. You just have to enable it in the video menu.

CHDK firmware for SX200 is not yet released (as I know) . Then, you're telling me when the CHDK firmware will be released, I would be able to activate zooming with movie function. Thanks
