Wrong time in in-camera created DNGs?

Hey there!
I use build 0.9.8-788 for my Digital IXUS 70 (firmware 1.02A) and I just wanted to try again with some RAW files :-)

Enabling and saving the RAW works just great and more or less out of the box, though the metadata shows a different recording time in the DNG than the accompanying JPG, it's exactly one hour off (don't remember in which direction I have to admit :-)). Might that be because of enabled daylight saving time? Or timezone? I will play around a bit more with it, but maybe you already know about it.

Thanks for the great enhancement for my cam!

thanks

Yes, CHDK don't use the DST setting (not all cameras have DST); i suggest to disable DST & set the time manually.

With DST enabled you may get the same issue when you transfer your images to a storage media - dependent from the operating system and the file system of the meda the time could also not be handled the correct way...

Thanks for the confirmation. I did just what you proposed and it worked flawlessly! Thanks for the possibility to shoot DNGs in the end :-)

So I just have to find a way to convert some old CRW files in order to import them with Aperture. Adobe DNG Converter likes them, but not Apple Aperture. Any ideas? (though that might be another thread...)

Thanks again for the great CHDK and the forum

There are some "converters" out there, e.g. these ones...
